Why partner with Happy Baby Secrets....In a nutshell
Hospitals
If you are a hospital you might want to consider contracting with Happy Baby Secrets to compliment your current services for your clients. Another option may be for you to pass on the information to parents via a Happy Baby Secrets Brochure & have parents bypass you and register on their own. Either way, those you serve will benefit. Another incentive to partner is that you can offer your clients the Group Rates as opposed to what they would pay if they take a class on their own.

There are unique benefits for both full term & premature babies with our parent - infant massage training. Parents learn specific "tummy troubles" routine with abdominal massage. Touch therapy compliments Kangaroo Care. Infant massage assists mom in healing postpartum with the release of endorphins each time she massages her baby. Evidence based research indicates more positive (stable) vital signs/oxygen saturation & increased weight gain in babies who are massaged. It decreases coritsol levels in the baby (decreases stress, assisting baby to absorb nutrition and conserve energy while in the NICU). Evidence based research shows decreased length of stay (avg 5 days less) in NICU for babies who parents learn & do massage in NICU and then long term benefits if they continue this at home after discharge. A structured infant massage program is cost effective for the hospital and the parents. Infant massage promotes bonding of parents to their baby in NICU. It also promotes milk production to breastfeeding mothers as it increases prolactin & oxytocin. If parents choose not to learn & do gentle touch while in ICU they should at minimum be encouraged to seek this out once they are discharged as it will increase the chance of positive lifelong outcomes for baby, helping it's brain and body grow.
The Baby Calming Class is a prenatal class to also boost parent confidence and calm a crying baby especially helpful for drug/alcohol babies. Ideally a mother is encouraged to take this class prenatally but parents can still benefit if they find their baby is diagnosed with colic anytime before 4 months old. In this case arrangements could be made for a parent to attend this class. Postpartum bedside visits may also be possible if baby is fussy & if the new mom is frustrated. (ask about bedside rates or group rates)
