This is a one time prenatal class & it is recommended that you attend in your first trimester and no later than 16 weeks gestation, although anyone who is pregnant is welcome to attend as long as they pre-register.

Medical Care topics: choosing a provider, ultrasounds, routine tests in pregnancy
Nutrition: weight gain, foods to limit or avoid, prenatal vitamins, cravings
Exercise: as it relates to proper body mechanics & guidelines for what to avoid
Discomforts in Pregnancy: what you can expect in each trimester
Warning signs: general pregnancy warning signs, what to report & preterm labor signs
Hazards to avoid: toxic substances, social & cultural practices & environmental hazards
Emotions in Pregnancy: common stressors, seeking support, reporting signs, body image, relationship topics, reporting abuse
Q&A: Opportunity for questions during class
Receive information & FREE Pass to ongoing Parenting Support Group: This is a casual relaxed group with sharing of ideas & questions. Once you deliver, you can then begin attending the monthly postpartum support group until your baby is 12 months old. View the schedule for both on the calendar below.
